The health of the environment and addressing the progress of climate change is a high priority for the 9th District Democratic Women’s Network.
Our first event focusing on the environment was a Coalition event for which we partnered with the White County Democratic Party August 17, 2017 in Cleveland, Georgia. Three experts in climate science gave presentations on the evidence for climate change and, policies in government and remedies available to individuals. Dr. Jim Smoot led off with Daniel Blackman and Greening Georgia’s Rob Mishler following. The speakers then formed a panel that led a robust discussion by the audience of over seventy north Georgians.
